Help Haiti: Briggs to collect supplies for quake survivors

In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the world is rushing to help survivors. In the tradition of caring for our community, BriggsAuto.com is pleased to announce that our stores will serve as collection centers for supplies to help the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the quake.

Supplies will benefit the Double Harvest, a non-profit organization established in 1981 outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Double Harvest has a medical center, schooling, water wells, on-site farming and other skill training for the Haitian people. The Manhattan Surgical Team frequently travels to Haiti and carries out medical-surgical missions. Double Harvest operating rooms have changed the lives of many hundreds of Haitian people.

Double Harvest receives support from local hospitals such as Mercy Regional Health Center and Manhattan Surgical Hospital, pharmaceutical companies and businesses. Double Harvest fortunately escaped most damage from the earthquake but they have been depleted of their medical supplies.
